Roc CEO takes on the role of a cybersecurity company.
Mr. Franklin, Managing Director of IT Solutions based at Greenham Business Park and Managed Services Provider Roc Technologies, will help guide the company’s business strategy.
He is a serial entrepreneur in the tech industry and an experienced entrepreneur, who has helped several technology companies achieve dramatic growth and successful exits for their owners.
He sees the specialist security expertise of Newbury-based cybersecurity firm CyberCrowd as complementary to the work of companies such as Roc and is eager to use his experience to develop his business plan and growth strategy.
“Information security is the number one priority for any business now operating in the digital space – and every business really is,” Franklin said. “I am excited about any business with a compelling ability.
“I want to help the CyberCrowd team exploit all the opportunities and direct growth. “
Former Entrepreneur of the Year winner, Franklin isn’t all about business.
It holds a Guinness World Record for the highest rugby match in the world – on Mount Everest. He has also raised over half a million pounds for children’s charity Wooden Spoon.
CyberCrowd CEO Mike Robinson said, “We are delighted that an industry titan like Matt Franklin is working with us at CyberCrowd.
“Having it help us negotiate the next stage of our growth will be very valuable. “
CyberCrowd restructured its board in 2020/21 and doubled its team with a revenue forecast of £ 10million over the next four years.
The company recently opened its own security operations center to support its clientele of SMEs and large public and private enterprises.
