BT and Oracle Accelerate Delivery of New 5G Services to UK | Texas News

LONDON and AUSTIN, Texas, September 23, 2021 / PRNewswire / – BT Group, the UK’s largest mobile and broadband service provider, has selected Oracle Communications Cloud Native Convergence Policy Management to optimize its network resources and bring new 5G offers to market more quickly. The solution will allow BT to quickly and transparently test and implement 5G services, such as live streaming and duty-free 5G content, over its EE mobile network.

Oracle Communications Cloud Native Convergence Policy Management makes it easier for network engineers to design, test and deploy new services on 4G and 5G networks. Oracle’s easy-to-use policy design engine will allow BT to quickly test and implement new 5G service plans and experiences, such as live streaming and augmented reality (AR), reducing time to testing and implementation in minutes instead of months. Oracle’s policy management will also give BT the flexibility to optimize network and subscriber resources to launch 5G-enabled Internet of Things (IoT) service offerings to residential and business customers.

By leveraging Oracle’s built-in analytics and edge routing support, BT will be able to make intelligent business decisions using subscriber, class of service, quality of service data. real-time service (QoS) and network resources to provide the best, most reliable experience for customers.
