When Nintendo released the NES system in 1985 they revolutionized gaming. To this day Ninteno’s Super Mario Brothers is the second biggest selling video game of all time. Even with their most recent release of the Wii in late 2006 they continue to make strides. Nintendo creates home gaming consoles as well as handheld ones. The Wii MotionPlus technology is something they experimented with in the past with its power pad. The pad was one you placed on the floor and ran in place on. The censors used would control the game using your body movements. Since 1985 Nintendo has created many different consoles. Here are a couple of the Nintendo consoles tat have been released home and handheld.;

Nintendo consoles are loved the world over for several reasons. One being brand popularity. Since Nintendo was able to get in on the ground floor of video gaming consoles they have been in widespread use longer than their competitors consoles. The familiarity and Nintendo reputation for gaming can’t be matched. For the gamer over thirty growing up with Nintendo was a way of life. It hasn’t been that long since Nintendo’s dominated the video game market with their products. To this day many of the games that Nintendo originated are made and re-made for other game consoles. In addition, they are still being developed with new titles using the same past Nintendo games. Nintendo will continue to make game consoles and handhelds the world loves.

By now everyone the world over has heard of the Playstation, Xbox and the Nintendo, yet very little is mentioned about older consoles anymore. You might be surprised to find out that other older consoles really give their newer mainstream predecessors a run for their money. There are plenty of alternatives to the top video game consoles that are being sold today. Each one is beneficial and offers it own unique features that separates it from the others. Die hard game enthusiast usually don’t find them as advanced as say the Wii but as gamers they still can enjoy them. Even the older consoles that lost its popularity or the manufacturer stopped updating is worth checking out. In fact, I would suggest a new gamer save themselves the money by purchasing a refurbished Dreamcast for example or XaviXPORT. Just think about how many people bought these consoles, games and accessories only to throw them aside later. There should be plenty of games and related products for the console available for dirt cheap. As stated earlier, they may not be up to today’s standards graphics wise but it’s not like they look like an Atari from the seventies. The NEO-GEO released in 1994 did fairly well when introduced and is a good alternative to newer consoles. Over the course of the years they released many games that our society is flooded with. Places like garage sales, eBay and flea markets are good places to find old games and consoles. For people who don’t want to spend fifty dollars on games why not give an older console a try?
